This stone is Pietersite from South Africa. It was imported into Bali, Indonesia where it was hand carved. Pietersite is an interesting stone that is similar to tiger eye but with many colors and patterns. The carving is very high detail as you can see in the close ups. This carving is 486 grs and shows pride of workmanship. The carver who made this comes from a family that have been carving there for hundreds of years.
